Rearranged Windows

Postby wernerb » Wed Dec 22, 2010 2:41 am

Ok, I know this has been brought up before, but can't find reference to it now. After certain amount of time using DVD Lab in Windows (7 at this time, have had it happen in XP too), the windows are automatically rearranged and essentially scrambled...Using nVidia cards (various ones), currently Geforce 8400 GS.

Yes, I know about 'Reset Bars and Windows', but it is very tedious, to keep using this. Has there been a fix or any info about this.

Thanks.

what is your desktop resolution?

I have not seen this problem since using a larger desktop resolution, currently using 2560x1600 using Dell 30" and Quadro FX 3800

1440x900 Widescreen, but not sure it matters. Has there been any 'fixes' that was supposed to address this? What is the current version you are using that 'Works with Larger Resolution'?

Thanks.

FYI. In my experience, I've found that I can cause this problem to happen if I shut down DLP while the application is Minimized. I've never seen this happen if I close the application with the Window in it's Normal state.

My problem appears when I have several programs, open and have DVD minimized, then select it or Alt-Tab to go to it, and it has become scrambled in the meantime.

Can't seem to figure out the culprit.

No change; 30 seconds after minimizing the application, I selected it to continue from where I left off and the window panes were scrambled...

Q6600 Processor (Quad 4)
6 GB Ram
RAID 5 (HighPoint 2310 - 3 TB GPT Formatted Win 7)
OS - WD 130 GB
DVD Lab 2.51

nVidia PCI EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 512 MB (RAID using x16 Video Slot)
Dual Display (1440x900 Widescreen LCD Monitor & TV)

NOT USING Display Management from nVidia

Using only Chrome Browser & DVDLab 2.51, after minimizing DVD-Lab, to use Chrome, windows are scrambled when returning to DVD-Lab to continue.

PS. Found out if I click on taskbar to select DVD-Lab repeatedly, quickly, program shrinks in size and the windows are scrambled..., repeatable.
