I want to make the other kind of slideshow

Postby djn » Sun Jan 30, 2011 10:20 pm

Reading about DVD structure tells me that I can make a "slide show" or a "still show" with the distinction being that a still show cannot have an audio track and it pauses with each image until the a command is received from the remote to go to the next image. Well, a still show is exactly what I need but I can find no way to produce it with DVD-lab, of which I just downloaded a trial.

Can anybody tell me how to do this? Thanks!

DVDLab does not provide a way to do it AFAIK. You can simulate it by setting the slides duration to, say, 1 sec and then editing the compiled DVD with PGCEdit to set each slides' PGCN Still Time to 255 (which means infinite) but it's tedious.

Alternatively, just set some reasonably long time-out for the slides in DVDLab - when played, each slide will be treated as a chapter, so you can switch to the next/previous slide with the remote control commands without waiting for the timeout to expire.
