DVDLab Pro2 - .dal file related

Postby nivedhya » Mon Feb 08, 2016 2:00 am

I'm halfway through some project. Saving it as .dal for future continuation. This .dal file is in my laptop C drive where DVD volume folder is located. However my linked base files that is video or audio files are in External Harddisk.

I'm not changing location or not modifying any of these files.

But after a few days may be back after tour & when I open (nobody touched my laptop in my absence) it gives a message 'one or more of your files not available.Do you want to search manually. & asks to select yes or no option' & whatever option I select & give file opening is a cumbersome process.

Kindly give right solution to open project files to continue & work hassle free.

that is normal when the drive letter changes, and that is common with external disks

so for best results, use internal drives for your assets

For above issue, it can be kept in fixed drive as you said. But if volume is high & will eat up disk space like my case, there is a possibility of assigning fixed drive name for external Harddisk in Windows OS itself. I did it & whenever I connect that particular external disk it repeatedly takes that name & no issue in further working. I just wanted to share it for others.
