DVDLab Pro2 - Audio Title - DTS Songs

Postby nivedhya » Thu Feb 11, 2016 1:02 am

To my knowledge still unanswered or unresolved till date. Can somebody throw light if there is solution or take up with DVDLab Pro2.

For making DVD thro' Audio Title route , if we add DTS songs ,complied to DVD spec. (48KHZ,24 bits,768Kbps) minimum 2 to 5 seconds of original length of song is truncated & getting loaded into video & Audio bin.

The same if DD, songs are getting loaded to full length as original.

This issue is not for one particular file or song but I tried for more than 100 songs but result is same.

Somebody posted this issue in some other forum & left using DVDLab Pro2 itself since no response. This is highly irritating for surround music lovers since DVDLab Pro2 cannot restrict me to use only DD or lean towards DD. DTS is also one of the best surround format & can't keep on converting all my files to DD.

And there is conventional reply 768 kbps is not DVD compliant & DVDLab Pro2 what it can do?. It is not really 768 but 754.5 ie 755 kbps only which has been mentioned as DVD Spec. & 768 is average bit rate only.

Similarly for DD 448 is bit rate as per DVD spec. & gets accepted fine Why this partiality towards DTS ?

For this issue only 2 way out.

1) Converting these to wav files. Adding silence & reconverting to dts.

2) DVD Lab Pro is not accepting & truncating only 755 kbps files. So if you convert 755 to 768 it takes in.

But for both above you need some other softwares support

I started the issue & I closed it. Somebody like me may get benefited by this. That's why I have shared.

I have found no issue with regular full bitrate DTS padded form (.dts) but Compact form also has issues.
