ES6 mixing 4:3 and 16:9 video clips

Postby LAWIII » Thu Oct 17, 2013 9:30 am

I am using Edit Studio 6 and making a standard (4:3) project. I have 2 video clips recorded on an iPad that I would like to add to the project. ES6 accepts them right away, but they seem to be wide screen (16:9) format because the person is taller and thinner than in the other clips. Is there a way to convert the widescreen clips to the Standard 4:3 format or make them look normal?

Simply select the relevant clip on the timeline, click on "Move Placement" and set "Top" to 12.5% and "Bottom" to 87.5%

Better do it before you cut the imported clip into pieces as otherwise you will need to change each of them separately.

You may also want to change the project's background colour to something other than the default chequerboard or put some BG picture or effect on a layer below the video...
