Lazarus (Free Pascal) Plugin for MMB to draw lines - Help!

Postby olly » Sun Apr 15, 2018 12:55 pm

Hi Folks,
I successfully wrote a few plugins in Lazarus (Free Pascal) but am stuck with my current plugin:

The plugin will draw lines on top of other MMB objects or bitmaps. Essentially it should replace the MMB command "CreateLineAB" (which has limitations for drawing many lines).

Any help - especially sample code for Lazarus would be really appreciated.

Thanks,
Olly

See histogram plugin code - which is something what you need - it builds histogram by drawing lines over MMB objects.

Thanks so much for the quick response dgilmour!
This example has all the components necessary for me to be able to draw the lines on MMB objects and I was just able to compile a DLL with a simple line to test it!

To do this I had to download gcc and Code::Blocks as I had not written DLLs for MMB in CPP before and get the compiler and linker to work as well as fighting with conversion (e.g. FARPROC to WNDPROC), resolving linker issues etc.
Along the way I got a new IDE installed and learned how to use it - which is an extra bonus 8-)

Thanks again for helping me out as I was totally stuck before
