ODBC PlugIn (Database)

Postby silvercover » Wed Sep 28, 2011 3:27 am

Hi,

Some days ago I've made a plugin called ODBC and its job is to connect to DBMS via ODBC interface. in simple words you can use it to connect to major database system such as MS Access, MySQL and etc. but their ODBC drivers must be installed already.

This plugin focus is on MS Access database and fortunately its driver is automatically installed on windows and you just need to make your DSN and do the rest. good news is that this plugin can make Access DSNs automatically. if you look at the sample and also know some database manipulations then you can have MS Access connectivity in your apps.

Here is ODBC Plug-In 1.0:

Excellent Work Silvercover

I have been wanting a way of reading and writing to a database created in access

Any Documentation or help File?

I found the password to open the database and can use my own data but would like to implement a search function and import my own data over many more fields

Does the database have to be locked with a password? will it work on more fields than the 4 used?

Thanks

No.

There is no field limitation.

to have search in your app, you need to know some SQL and specially SELECT command.
