You could try using the Turbulence or Turbulence2 node on your border (put it on the line that goes into the alpha in the flow you posted). That can randomize the border-image enough to make it look like a variation :)

Alternatively you could do the flow in the attached snapshot for a simple border (I used a circular shape, selected in the simple-shape node, but you can use a rectangular to get closer to your original border example):

I have tens of thousands images cataloged in Lightroom, and would like to be able to export an image, run PR to edit it, and have the results automatically imported back into LR, in the same way one can edit LR images in other apps such as Photoshop, Photomatix Pro, etc. (A similar capability for DAP is also desirable.)

Thanks.

I have a considerable investment in Photoshop filter plug-ins, and would like to use these with PR in a manner similar to Photoshop "smart filters". It appears this would require implementing a Photoshop plugin filter host object for PR.

I investigated a bit and found this:
http://dmmd.net/main_wp/software-develo ... -host-sdk/

Unfortunately, running the example fails:
D:\Temp\vsrPp_sdk\bin\Win32\vpiPhotoshop.dll : wrong version (0) number
No plug-in was found

and DMMD's tech support has not responded to my email.

Also, it's not clear the PR plug-in SDK provides a way to save a hosted filter's parameters so it can be re-applied automatically when the input image changes.

I would like to suggest an additional control to the "Histogram Auto-Stretch" node.

A head-room control moving the clip-point by N values.

Example:

Say we have a slightly under-exposed picture of a white flower or dress or something, that peaks around RGB-value 215.

Let's say the "Histogram Auto-Stretch" node clips the values at 200 (controlled by setting the highlight tolerance control)

If we had a headroom control, we could instruct "Histogram Auto-Stretch" node to push-back from this clip-point by a value of 20.

This would move the clip-point from 200 to 220.

The flower or dress would now be auto-stretched without being clipped :)

This may also be useful for the shadow-tolerance, if you need to protect some darker tones from being clipped.

---------------------------
The Math-node (set to normalize) stretches without clipping, but is thrown off if the image already contains a few odd maxed out pixels.

Re: Wishlist for PR: random flow generator

Postby tartine78 » Sun Dec 11, 2016 4:50 am

Hello,

It would be fine to have a manner to create flow randomly so we can discover some new effect we could slightly modify to be perfect

like a random flow generator

or to get some random variations on a specific flow
we could set to slight variations or to strong variations

Re: Wishlist for PR _ add shortcuts parameter in nodes

Hello,

I wish i had shortcuts parameter
- to set a switch on and off in a flow (to rotate an image for instance)

Re: Wishlist for PR - auto rename picture for faster workflo

Postby tartine78 » Tue Dec 13, 2016 4:04 am

hello,

when you export output image,
PR should rename it by adding a unique suffix so that there's no risk to overwrite a previous work

PR is all about testing variations and batching so it would be nice get a fast workflow

btw, using "write file" node seems to be a good way to get variations of a specific flow without having to process all the unchanged nodes

but the file created with the "write " mode does'nt seems to embed the flow
