Of course those of us who possess "lost" AOPs could post them here or at DAP café – but personally I would prefer that their originators returned to our little community and did it themselves. I recently posted Honzakov's AOPs at DAP café because I was reasonably sure he was not going to do it since he left us a long time before the old forum went down.

I agree.
While I have almost all of the old AOPs that were in the DAP Cafe I did not keep track of who created them so I would feel strange about posting them when I could not give proper credit.

I do agree that you need to give credit to those people who added there AOP's to the old forum, and hopefully they will at some point return.
I also think that because they added them in the first place ment that they wished to share them, if someone did put them back couldn't they attach credit to the originator, if they are known :!:

I have found and uploaded to my server the original zip file for the Funky Acrylics AOP. The reason it wasn't there in the first place and is not there now is because there is a 7 MB minimum on uploads to the DAP Cafe. I have neither the time nor the patience at this point to extract the included files and downsize them to meet the minimum. I have also uploaded Funky Oils and Dreamy Watercolors to my server. I do not have time to create entries in the DAP Cafe for them either. Hopefully you will forgive me and have fun playing with them. I figured you'd all rather have the AOPs than wait until I have the time to create nice descriptions and samples on the DAP Cafe.

Thanks Mary. I grabbed these when first posted on the old forum, pre-DAP Cafe days. FunkyOIls is usually my go-to AOP for many of my paintings.

I hadn't realized that your AOPs were so much larger than most others until I just did some checking.

I strongly recommend to anyone who doesn't already have these, grab 'em now! <smile>

I am doing the final tweaking on a new AOP I call Sketch It!.
Here are a few of the sample images I tested various tweaks on.
The final tweak so far is the one of the park but since I ran it for 200,000 strokes it might not show exactly what the AOP will do most of the time.
If you have comments please post them.

I put my AlphaB AOP up in the DAP Cafe.
It has brush images made from 3D shaded alphabet images.

New AOP in DAP Cafe

Postby anecessaryevil » Sun Dec 12, 2010 4:07 pm

I have completed the help files and the other necessary tweaks on my Rough Sketch! AOP and have posted it in the DAP Cafe:

Here are a couple examples of what it can do:

Download it, play with it and then let me know what you think.

I think the roughsketch AOP is fantastic, I love the pencil type AOP's to blend with AOP's such as wistler they realy help bring out some of the line detail.
Playing with it now and the results are awsome. Thanks.

Problem with the Rough Sketch! help file

Postby anecessaryevil » Mon Dec 13, 2010 8:54 pm

In the Rough Sketch! AOP I put up in the DAP Cafe there was an error in the help file - I left a space in the image file name and the html file is looking for that image with no space in the name.
You can either rename the file yourself, removing the space, or download the corrected zip file that I put up in DAP Cafe.
Thanks to Rocambole for letting me know about the problem.
