DAP 4.2 with touch mode

Postby Oscar » Wed Nov 04, 2015 6:34 pm

I've got persuaded by Intel to add 2-in-1 touch mode to DAP (To their credit they asked very nicely).
It is finally done. When the slate is detached from the keyboard the display will switch into a simplified touch mode. For now I cut the touch mode into very basics that make sense without keyboard, few settings and the retouch tab where you can retouch with your finger. It also work nicely when rotated into portrait mode. Most of the time I spent creating my own touch UI library and designer.
It is now called version 4.2

If you don't have 2-in-1 laptop and windows 8.1 or windows 10, you can still engage the touch mode by clicking menu View - Switch to Tablet Mode. Of course it doesn't make much sense on the desktop, but it makes the controls nice big and clean which could be good for presentation.

Thanks for the update Oscar; need to check the threads more often.

To answer LadyArtist, it's a free update.

Don't have touch ability, but do like the simplistic interface and it can be useful for some things but the full access is more to my liking; easy enough to get too so not that big a distraction to me. :)
