Managing/moving objects in a list

Postby polartech » Tue Jan 14, 2020 7:10 am

Hi guys.

So, I`m attempting to move objects in a simple arrangement (no listbox, just move objects).

I want the buttons to add/move the relevant objects into the central grey box image with latest on top, second middle, earliest bottom.

Any further additions moves the others down, with the newest always appearing on top.

The remove buttons should, as expected, take the object off the screen and move any that are below it up so that the list is always filled top to bottom, in order.

See attached for what I`m talking about :)

I can`t seem to get the coding quite right!

Cheers.

I can offer a monetary reward of 100 Euro if anyone can help me crack this :)

It`s for a small game project that I want to try to offer commercially.

Thanks.

Oh wow.. yes, that`s really close! :)

The functionality is perfect, just one thing.. I was wanting the colour blocks to appear in a vertical list of three.. for example, red on the top of the list, then yellow, then blue at the bottom. So you can see them all when added.

Starting off, the first block goes to the top slot. When a second is added, that new one goes to the top slot and the one that was there is moved down to the centre slot. Similarly, when another is added, the other two move down a slot. Most recent is always on top.

Then if say the yellow (centre) one is removed, the blue one at the bottom moves up one to take the slot that yellow was in. The list is always filled from the top down.

I hope that makes sense :)

Again, happy to compensate anyone who can help.

Thank you so much!

Should incoming blocks push the bottom block out if there are all three slots taken?
