Re: Improved visability of button activation. Suggestions pl

A simple way is to add an audio stream to the menu which has some transient sound effect (a click or a beep or a chime ding) in the beginning, followed by silence. Do you know a way to accomplish that without using cells? ie. Play the audio only once on an infinite menu. I'd love to do that with a ...

Re: Half-Bitrate DTS - odd numbers

Say what? 384 is max for DVD audio what, exactly? For starters, I assume you mean "audio on DVD-Video" ... Thanks for that clarification. Yes, audio on DVD video. I've been under the impression that 384kbps was the max for over 10 years. I use ac3 exclusively, but have never had a need to actually ...

Re: Half-Bitrate DTS - odd numbers

If I use a 768Kbps DTS file, it seems to think it is twice the length it is in reality. Form is padded (.dts) as DLP seems to struggle with Compact (.cpt) form. This sounds like simple math. 384 is max for DVD audio as I know it. 768 is exactly double that, hence illegal, so you get double the leng...

Re: Menu button jumps to wrong menu....

The coloring and zoomed-out picture is throwing me off, but if it wasn't for that I'd say those are all open components . But you said nothing about that, so ... If that's the case, then you should know that a bug in DLP causes the setting for "Menu button (on remote)", and "Return" to revert back t...

Re: Using arrays in DLP labTALK

For the record, when you use the "FILE:" parameter with input, all you get is the full path and filename of the file you open. For text files, you could then, conceivably, paste that text into a text box on a menu with ObjectAddFrom(menu,sFile). I say "conceivably" because I've never had the need to...

Re: Menu Cells via LabTalk?

Unfortunately, I don't think that LabTalk extends to menu cells. I didn't think so either. If it does, it's not documented. I was just hoping someone had found a workaround, or something. I'm really disappointed in LAB-talk. It has about half the features, flexibility, and scope of the mid-80's Com...

Menu Cells via LabTalk?

I'm working on a LabTalk script that manipulates objects on a couple of menus in a component. Each of these menus have two cells. There are 5 objects in cell 1, and 14 in cell 2. At the very beginning of the script, I need the ability to change the position (add 120 to the x position) of each of tho...
