Re: Members Paintings (General)

I particularly like the blue background -very nice - roughpaint 4 does a great job. I have also made my own variant of it with just the underpainting forever and big strokes for the first 9000 or so, that works well too.

Re: Members Paintings (General)

I didn't know that was there either, so thanks for that mitch. I have been painting from photos by Bernard Dupont (wildlife photographer - with permission) https://www.flickr.com/photos/berniedup/ and the most pleasing version of his leopard in a tree photo is, I think, this one using a modified Elk...

Two images, one using a single technique - Luigi's brilliant oil ink 09 09 14 photoreactor based method. Other using a series of semiopaque layers in gimp, old mast...

Re: Members Paintings (General)

Both paintings are great - thank you both. Comments in reverse order as pictures came out the opposite order than expected! Today I have been working on an image of a park with flowering Jacaranda using a modified Allyssa with smaller brushes and far more underpainting. I quite like the result. I ha...

Re: Members Paintings (General)

I am pleased with this - Gloriosa superba, Leonid HD default settings and just let it get on with it for 35000 strokes... Tidied up one or two errant strokes afterwards with my ancient copy of ULead PhotoExpress 3 (still the best simple graphics program ever made and yes I have GIMP, Photoshop and P...
