Re: Issue reports

Doesn't crash for me on win8 x64 PR 105

Not much help to you I'm afraid but might help to debug the issue. Maybe it's just the 32-bit version.

Can you mask with the "merge alpha" block instead of the group mask as a workaround?

Re: Plug-in SDK

Hi Andy, Thanks for all the info, it's certainly more complex than I'd first thought. Maybe I'll break it down into little chunks and see if I can achieve those separately as I try to learn. I prefer Lab to RGB so that's a plus. I was hoping to feed the selection in from a bit of PR flow, which I gu...

Re: Plug-in SDK

Hi smmsamm, The plugin I was referring to was discontinued a long time ago and I forget it's name. It wasn't compatible with Photoshop CS as I recall and wasn't updated to work with it. It was part of a small plugin pack that had a really nice effect called "Glow" but not to be confused with Trapcod...

Re: Plug-in SDK

Andy I wonder if you'd mind telling me if it's possible/feasible using the SDK to create something that would be able to produce an effect I have in mind? What I'd like to do is have some arbitrary selection, maybe as an alpha formed from say only red areas of an image. Then distribute some shape th...

Re: Issue reports

Sounds right to me Andy, and when I think about it, as I described opening images repetitively, I'm using the PR image browser window which occupies the real estate usually showing the preview area, which must initiate a redraw as it's a fresh image I'm loading in. I also scoot around in "Actual Pix...

Re: Issue reports

Well this is true of the computer system in general, but the beeps in this case are generated by PR or its processes as they can't be heard if PR is muted. It's definitely when I'm moving too fast, I just keep thinking it's not too fast for my PC and I wonder if PR isn't allocated as much resource a...

Re: Issue reports

Thanks Bill, that's good to know. Been a long time since a DAP update? I've been having a much better time in PR with my particular style of "painting" effects as it seems I can control things better than in DAP. But the program postworkshop that someone mentioned previously seems to have a DAP like...

Re: Issue reports

I wonder if I can bump something I mentioned previously in one of the threads. Does anyone know if we can jump to DAP and back from PR? I seem to get an instant crash if I try. I have no knowledge of any command line params I'd need to add, and I guess I'd have to be working on a DAP sized image. I'...

Re: Issue reports

Well I mostly use A3 size at 900dpi at the moment, which is weird I know, but as I posted in another thread that's to keep fine lines separated in print. Then I've got some other files that're anything up to around 100 megapixel. I get the beeps if I rapidly load the images in either after rendering...

Re: Issue reports

Jel, it gets worse with win8, they took away the panel that lets us assign edit, open, view etc. from the file types selection. It's now a generic thing that only changes the open command. It's the one thing I hate, well apart from the new start menu that I removed immediately. You have to trawl reg...
