Re: Plug-in SDK

Hi Everyone: I have been working on a new plugin. No particular ETA on this one as it has been difficult for me to find a good working sample to base it on. This is a noise reduction filter called Total Variation. It seems to be decent at removing Gaussian noise. Before circuit.png After circuit_Fin...

Re: Plug-in SDK

Hello everyone: I have been working on for a while a filter that produces an Anisotropic Diffusion and have finally completed the coding. Let's start off with a test image from the Kodak library. Here is the original image kodim19.png Here is a Anisotropic Diffusion filtered image kodim19_Final Anis...

Re: Plug-in SDK

Well I am releasing another plugin. Surface Blur, also known by some other names, Smart Blur, Selective Gaussian Blur and perhaps some other names. It is closely related to the Bilateral Blur. This version is separable and zippy fast. This comes from a math simplification and the fact that it is sep...

Re: Plug-in SDK

Thanks Jel, figuring out the various ways to program the various image processing techniques is interesting for me. Some are too complex for me as well. The Gudermannian Sigmoid though was not as bad as I originally thought. First of all here are the plugins Gudermannian x32.zip the 32 bit version G...

Re: Ask for help here

How do you map the colors of an image to a specific palette? If I want to tone an image with very specific colors. Or if I want to make sure that only certain colors are allowed and used in the image. Something like the way we do it in DAP, where we choose a palette from a jpeg-swatch. Are you aski...

Re: Plug-in SDK

Jel: I have been trying to accomplish the Gaussian Redistribution of the Histogram. From best as what I have been able to find, one would have to create an internal histogram, i.e. Bins, one for each color in the image. So for example, a 256 color RGB image would have to have 3 256 Byte arrays. Usin...

Re: Plug-in SDK

Dear smmsamm: I am certain that within certain constraints, given enough time, effort and know-how, something could be created like this. As I read the articles, someone has already created the code and are already doing this. If this is a project you want to tackle yourself, happy coding, just real...

Re: Plug-in SDK

This is a new filter ABES (Andy's Bi Exponential Smoother. While playing around with Bilateral smoothing I accidentally came up with this. This particular smoothing effect just uses radius to collect all the colors and by using the Euclidean distance we can determine the edges within the radius. The...

Been away for a while, been really busy. before lizard.jpg after lizard_Final.jpg This is another separable bilateral 609ms for my 500x500 test image. Just a test of quality for separable bilateral. Radius 8, Color difference .262 Code to follow when I get a free moment. I owe several routines to th...

Re: Images from the Registered PhotoReactor

I try not to comment on too many images, trying to concentrate on expansion of Photo-Reactor, but I really like the looks of this image. The flower really pops from the background for me. I like the grunge effect of the background and how the flower contrast against it. I can tell by looking that th...
