Re: Members' Paintings

v2_DAP__EccellenteVernice.jpg One thing I have noticed.. no matter how good a style is, the styles still suit some photos better than others. That's not to say others are bad.. just that a photo seems to suit XYZ style rather than ABC style. Part of the "trick" of it all is to find the style that m...

Re: Possible bug found

Well.... sometimes fast is good and scrappy, others slower drops in more details. Watercolours tend to not matter what that setting is on, dry styles like Benson have quite a large difference between speed - precision. If you're looking through the parameters, can I suggest having a base default? Ev...

Re: Members' Paintings

_DSC6637-01_2_tonemapped_DAP__MisticoPittore.jpg Now THAT looks intensely interesting! Just look at he painterly strokes and then, BAM !, the detail in those poles foreground-right! What a combination - painted chaotic detail-loss then sudden details - it's a real shock to the eye, just as real art...

Re: Members' Paintings

Vernice makes a good base for other work and it can stand on its own with some paintings.

Re: Members' Paintings

I made a variation, I won't post it because all i did was edit it and set stroke transparency to 100 - 255 and set a default base paint stroke.

This is the result:

Compare it to the standard style:

Re: Members' Paintings

Suggestion:

If you find the strokes a bit too overt, change the dry-wet setting to about 1/2 way.

You still keep some defining strokes but the rest become softer and wetter.

(Eccellente Vernice style, I'm referring to - thanks for it, mate!)

Possible bug found

This in is reference to my continual comments about DAP not resetting things between different styles - it needs to be shut down after 3-5 style changes. I was playing the other day (Huh.. "other day" = about an hour ago!), just flipping between styles to see what changes they made to the various se...

Those are GREAT - good enough to offer as a commercial "I'll paint your wife/girlfriend for £100" venture.

I'd like to see a little more eye details in #1.. but it's still good.
