Re: Strategy for Creating a Color Palette

Not quite the question for working with DAP. Neither could you restrict it to so few "colors" (in RGB model), not could you restrict it to clamping to these colors so tightly. Furthermore, I would wonder which meaning of "color" your task has: I suppose that it means "four narrow hue ranges", as you...

Re: Members Paintings (General)

Indeed, impressive result. Which template is that? I believe some watercolor with ink?

Re: Post your Impressionistic paintings

Both are quite impressive results. Interesting to see that DAP can make even a handicapped life still worth living. All the best wishes...

Re: Meaning of Detail Brush Setting

Obviously I am unable to understand what you want to do inside DAP...

You want to select one brush out of the 100 in the template and paint with the mouse, then select another of the 100 and continue painting with the mouse?

Re: Meaning of Detail Brush Setting

Can't you just look at first if you have a PDF documentation in your installation directory? Furthermore, did you search this forum for a guide how to make AOP's? I know there is some. After all, creating new AOP's is a central feature of DAP, so it will be available in new versions too, possibly ev...

Re: Meaning of Detail Brush Setting

DAP has different subsets of brushes, which you can customize using a 10x10 grid (3000x3000 pixels for LD templates, 6000x6000 for HD templates). Also you can set up different choices how many of them are treated as "detail brushes", in contrast to "background brushes". So during the background phas...

Re: How to Get Image to Size to Canvas?

It is even buggy, regarding precision. I know cases where it prefers 3192 pixels where 3200 would have been the exact value, according to the trivial source aspect ratio.

Re: How to Get Image to Size to Canvas?

I guess the estimation is a lot simpler: It limits the maximum of width and height, and reports the square of the largest dimension (so the maximum pixels per image happens when the image is a square).

Re: Strategy For Printing at Reduced Sizes?

Indeed, separate brush strokes are only recognizable obviously enough when they have a minimum size and distinctiveness. Painting on a smaller canvas is one way to achieve that; in a certain range, you may also try to increase their size range, or edit the size graph to paint large strokes for a lon...
