HUE vs 8bit
So HUE is a circle with 360 distinct values (theoretically) 8-bit color allows a max of 256 values. Does this mean HUE is twisting (as in; being a dynamically changing value, rather than static) with changes in saturation and/or lightness? I'm trying to understand the concepts of colorspaces better ...

Re: Whishlist for PR
Is there any Randomize function|node for making random border? You could try using the Turbulence or Turbulence2 node on your border (put it on the line that goes into the alpha in the flow you posted). That can randomize the border-image enough to make it look like a variation :) Alternatively you...

Re: Whishlist for PR
I don't know how hard this is to do, maybe it's a challenge for Andy Dansby  (that's me being green with envy because I'm not skilled enough to program cpp plugins myself  ) LUT support: http://www.quelsolaar.com/technology/clut.html The method on this link seems to be one of the simp...

Re: Use Photo Rector to edit videos
That's a great method :) And because the work is done on images, rather than one big video-file, in case of power-failures or random computer-crashes, one doesn't have to re-render the entire sequence but can just re-render the specific images that aren't done. I have, for example, had to re-do rend...

Re: Photo-Reactor Recipes
I've multiple thousands of negatives that would take forever to scan using a dedicated film scanner. Maybe now I can easily make 'proof sheets' which will not only assist in cataloging but quickly highlight the best shots for re-scanning [higher resolution] with the dedicated scanner. I believe it ...

Converting film-negatives
Converting film-negatives to usable images is not as trivial as one might think. I have spent some time constructing a flow that can do it correctly. If this is a topic that has your interest, you may have seen how there is an abundant amount of articles on the internet on how to do colorfilm-conver...

Re: Ask for help here
Bill made a water-color flow a while back (a very good one!)
From that I extracted the flow below.
Couple that with a texture and you should be on your way to the effect you're after.
You could also grab Bill's flow for the full effect, or to modify it yourself.

Re: Script: Histogram Redistribution Methodology
I've been trying out various ways to increase image-brightness, including your new gaussian redistribution. Here's a flow with 5 different methods. #1: main image (the source) #2: the standard histogram-equalize node #3: a brightness-boost flow I've made #4: Oscar's script as posted at the top of th...
