Share your DPHDR images here...

Post by expressivecanvas »

Hi All,

Just thought I would start a thread for sharing some photos processed using DPHDR. I will start it off by sharing a few of my own.

These images below were all processed using DPHDR mostly to bring up the shadows. The subway shot was also converted to black & white in DPHDR. I find that this program is a good start for preparing photos to be painted in DAP. I also find the 'Orton' features and the 'Match Color' features quite useful. More on examples using those features when I have more time to post.

I look forward to seeing some creative ideas from others using this program!

Hope you enjoy!

Patrick : )

PS... trying to keep images for uploading compressed down to less than 256kb is quite frustrating... I haven't seen restraints like this since using forums in the 1990's... uggg!

Nice, good idea!

Please have a look at my Flickr, I think it'll be easier than posting them all here.

See 2 of my most recent ones below.

All my HDRs since 3 years are processed with DPHDR.

All my recent HDRs have a certain level of post-processing in Photoshop and/or Lightroom. Some of the most important thing to post-process in my opinion are color hue/balance/saturation, it can make the difference between a nice image and a real winner.

If you have any question, I'd prefer to communicate on Flickr although I'll try to come here regularely.

Here is another image processed with Dynamic Photo HDR... lightened the shadows in foreground trees, enhanced dynamic light/contrast, enhanced color... then a noise reduction and sharpen in PSPX2.

I am noticing some banding in the clouds after compressing the image small enough to post here... The full-size image does not show any banding.

I have tried many different programs for HDR but the only one I keep coming back to is DPHDR. It always gives me the results I am after. Thanks.

pseudoHDR from 2 TIFFS / true HDR from 3 TIFFS

Post by dalivali »

Hi, I can not get nice/perfect result when I use 3 or more RAW/TIF files right in DPHDR 5. I get better result when I merge (2 or more) TIFF files in Photoshop and then use DPHDR for pseudoHDR. So I can not use DPHDR 5 for its right function - nice/perfect true HDR image from more raw/tiff files. Could you tell me step by step procedure for true HDR in DPHDR 5 please?

I am satisfy with my procedure now. Quality input data/files is necessary and then you can get very GOOD results ;)
