Shell Rose Mosaic

Trying to figure out how to create the new AOPs with mosaic. Still a work in progress. Thanks again, Oscar. :)

Snail Shell of Shells

Objects with higher contrast do give better results. :)

Interesting. I figured you would be especially happy with this new functionality. If I ever had any spare time, I'd love to fool with the the Leonid AOP that somebody (I forget who) created a while back. Could make it a bit more interesting. I myself am happy to have the ability to export a PSD file with the full layer stack as it was available in DAP 4. I have 5 and 6 but never use them for that reason. DAP 7 PSD layer export seems to work pretty well. And I have so many brush files and color templates from forever ago that I hope to experiment with. Just not enough time these days as I always seem to be travelling -- which is a good thing. More photos to turn into paintings. :)

I still have to do a lot of GIMPy magic afterwards, Mary (to include drop shadow effects and such as well as color enhancements). I gave up a long time ago on a click and done filter solution. lol

Tiger Shells

Thought I would do one more with my shells. Got an email from Mediachance and in it was a tut video using Panel. Did not know about Panel. You do not have to have a sub-preset for every brush style to make a mosaic; can use Panel to modify a current preset to your liking. Pretty cool feature. This one is a hybrid with base fill layer (not mosaic) and top layer as mosaic. Added some drop shadow and stuff to enhance the dimension of the shells. :)

Still having fun (when I can) with DAP7's packing ability. :)

Cobblestone Mosaic Rose

Extracted rose, separated background from rose and used Panel to limited the rotational angle range of the background bricks. :)
